Urban Heat Risk Observatory

Extreme heat is becoming a defining resilience challenge for dense Asian cities, but city-wide temperature alone does not reveal who is exposed, where risk accumulates, or which interventions are most useful.

Project premise

The Observatory explores comparative methods for combining temperature, humidity, land cover, urban form, population vulnerability, and service data. It identifies patterns of exposure and supports evaluation of warning systems, cooling strategies, planning interventions, and community responses.

Eolais incubation role

Eolais connects meteorological evidence with healthcare, infrastructure, planning, finance, and communication perspectives. The incubated output is an applied urban heat intelligence framework that cities and partners adapt while maintaining transparent assumptions and comparable indicators.
