Regional Monsoon Intelligence Network
Monsoon variability affects infrastructure, agriculture, logistics, water, public safety, and economic activity across large parts of Asia, yet forecasts only create value when they are translated into timely decisions.
Project premise
The project explores a regional model linking observation, forecast interpretation, sector-specific thresholds, and communication. It asks how meteorological information can be converted into different forms of decision support for operators, communities, planners, and institutions whose risk changes with rainfall timing and intensity.
Eolais incubation role
Eolais brings together climate and weather research, advisory, training, and cross-sector incubation to develop the translation framework. The contribution is a repeatable approach for moving from forecast information to operational readiness while respecting uncertainty and local context.
