Coastal Blue Carbon Observatory
Mangroves, seagrass, and other coastal ecosystems provide ecological, protective, and carbon value, but restoration claims require credible observation over time.
Project premise
This project develops a regional framework for observing blue-carbon restoration using a combination of field measurement, remote sensing, repeatable indicators, and contextual information. The challenge is to create an approach that is scientifically meaningful while remaining practical across different Asian coastlines and project types.
Eolais incubation role
Eolais brings together research design, comparative analysis, and partnership development to create a transparent observation framework. The incubated outcome helps restoration partners define what to measure, how to interpret change, and how to communicate outcomes without overstating certainty.
